PIMCO Canada Corp. Launches ETF(US$) Series of PIMCO Monthly Income Fund (Canada) on the Toronto Stock Exchange

PIMCO Canada today announces the launch of the U.S. dollar exchange-traded fund (ETF) series of the PIMCO Monthly Income Fund (Canada) (TSX:PMIF.U). The launch of the ETF(US$) Series builds on the success of the Canadian dollar ETF Series (TSX: PMIF) launched in 2017. The ETF series are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The existing ETF Series units can be bought in Canadian dollars only, and the new ETF(US$) Series can be bought in U.S. dollars only. The ETF (US$) Series is intended for investors with U.S. dollars who seek U.S. currency exposure and income.

The ETF is an actively managed bond portfolio that invests primarily in a diversified portfolio of non-Canadian dollar fixed income instruments of varying maturities. The fund is managed by Dan Ivascyn, Managing Director and Group Chief Investment Officer, Alfred Murata, Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, and Joshua Anderson, Managing Director and Portfolio Manager.
