ETFGI reports assets invested in the Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) ETFs and ETPs industry reach a new high of US$191 Bn at the end of November 2018 LONDON — December 27, 2018 — ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm covering trends in the global ETF/ETP ecosystem, reported today that ETFs and ETPs listed in The Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) gathered net inflows of US$6.17 Bn during November. Total assets invested in the Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) ETF and ETP industry increased 5.69% during November, from US$181 Bn at the end of September, to US$191 Bn, according to ETFGI’s November 2018 Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) ETF and ETP industry landscape insights report, an annual paid-for research subscription service. At the end of November 2018, the Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) ETF/ETP industry had 1,379 ETFs/ETPs, with 1,532 listings, assets of $191 Bn, from 139 providers listed on 17 exchanges. Following net inflows of $6.17 Bn and market moves during the month, assets invested in ETFs/ETPs listed in The Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) increased by 5.69%, from $181 Bn at the end of October 2018, to $191 Bn. Growth in the Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) ETF and ETP assets as of the end of November 2018 Equity-based ETFs/ETPs listed in The Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) attracted net inflows of $3.85 Bn in November, growing net inflows for 2018 to $32.32 Bn, substantially greater than the $1.11 Bn in net inflows at this point last year. Fixed Income ETFs and ETPs listed in The Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) saw net inflows of $1.89 Bn, bringing net inflows for 2018 to $10.73 Bn, greater than the $720 Mn in net inflows at this point last year. A large proportion of inflows during November can be attributed to the top 20 ETFs/ETPs by net new assets, which collectively gathered $5.68 Bn.
